Who: Suggested minimum age is 6 years old. All hikers under 14 years need to be accompanied by a parent or responsible adult. Our day hikes are great for people new to hiking as well as those who are working on getting fit. Hikers do need to be fit enough to participate in 2-3 hours of physical activity, however. If you have any doubts, you should consult your physician.
When and Where: Each hiking location is picked for proximity, terrain, and conditions. Day hikes typically start in the morning and last a half day, but sometimes we do get carried away and decide to hang out outdoors longer!
South Bay Trekking Company will provide: Guides certified in First Aid and CPR. Hiking instruction, maps, natural interpretation, first-aid and emergency equipment.
What You Should Bring/Wear:
Wear comfortable footwear. This could be quality running shoes, lightweight trail shoes, or hiking boots.
Wear loose comfortable clothing in layers. Synthetic (not cotton) socks are best. Shorts, pants, t-shirts, and long sleeves are all acceptable.
